With back-to-school season upon us, we think it’s a great time to offer this new club product. It’s the perfect time to start photographing your child throughout an entire school year – you’ll be able to capture how much they grow and change in just several short months!
When working on the club, I also realized just how few “big kids” come in for sessions of their very own. Often, we have big brothers or sisters included in newborn sessions with their new younger siblings, or school-age brother and sister pairs included in a family shoot. But a session all their own? Not very often!
And why not? The standard frequency of sessions for a baby is 2 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months and one year – that’s 5 sessions in one year to accurately capture all the growth, development and change in a baby!
But even beyond the first year or two, children are growing and changing just as rapidly. Thinking back to my own childhood snapshots, I realize just how different I look now as an adult – my hair as much darker, my eyes are a slightly different color and my smile is totally different (thank goodness for braces)! And stuffy school portraits not-withstanding, I have no professional photos to look back at my childhood years. I would love to have some great, natural photos that not only captured my looks, but also my personality, at this age!
So, in honor of childhood portraits and our new Kids Club, take a look at our favorite kid shots from the past few months. Almost makes you want to be a kid again, too! ![]()
